Baha'i National Convention report

Location

Beloit, WI

Delegate to the 105th Baha'i National Convention, Robert Malouf, delivered his convention report to members of the Beloit and Janesville Baha'i communities Sunday, June 9th at the home of Leslie Rennie in Beloit.

The convention theme was "Frontiers of Learning." Malouf said delegates were told Baha'i commuities in the United States have two major challenges. The first is to increase the number of programs of growth and the second is to strengthen existing programs of community building. In order to accomplish these goals, Baha'i commuities must focus their activities to fit the program of growth.

On the world scene, delegates were informed that large numbers of people are ready to become Baha'is in some of the least expected places, including Iran and Egypt. The main reason for this is that the technology savy general population can see that Baha'is are not what they've been told they are by their religious leaders.
