Election of National Spiritual Assembly
April 26, 2014
To the United States Bahá'í community
Beloved Friends,
It is with joyful hearts that we share with you the results of the election today of the National
Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of the United States carried out by the delegates at the 106th
Bahá'í National Convention in an atmosphere of reverence and loving fellowship. For the first
time in several decades, the session this morning at which delegates cast their ballots was open
to all registered guests and visitors to the National Convention.
The newly-elected National Spiritual Assembly met this evening to organize and elect its
officers. The members of the National Spiritual Assembly of the United States, and its officers,
are listed below according to the highest number of votes received:
Kenneth E. Bowers, Secretary
Muin Afnani, Chair
David F. Young
Juana C. Conrad, Treasurer
Jacqueline Left Hand Bull, Vice-Chair
S. Valerie Dana, Deputy Secretary
Fariba Aghdasi
Robert C. Henderson
Erica Toussaint-Brock
The high level of consultation on the part of the delegates and their focus on our community’s
endeavors in service to the current Plan bears witness to the unlimited capacity and resolve of
each of each and every believer to ensure that the healing message of Bahá'u'lláh reaches
individuals, families, and neighborhoods throughout the nation. Be assured of our constant
love, our profound gratitude, and of our ardent prayers in the Mother Temple of the West on
your behalf.
With loving Bahá'í greetings,
NATIONAL SPIRITUAL ASSEMBLY OF THE
BAHÁ'ÍS OF THE UNITED STATES
